Windows

Windows 10 or 11. Get GleamShare from the Microsoft Store, or download the standalone installer. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", the installer is new and not code-signed yet: click More info, then Run anyway. You can compare the SHA-256 above with your file first.

The installer can add "Send with GleamShare" to the right-click menu and start GleamShare quietly with Windows so your PC is always ready to receive.

Android

Android 10 or newer. Open the downloaded file. Android asks you to allow installing from your browser once. Put your phone on the same Wi-Fi as the other device and open GleamShare.

iPhone, iPad and Mac

There is no App Store app yet. GleamShare works in Safari, and you can add it to your Home Screen or Dock so it opens like an app, with its own icon and no browser bars.

  1. iPhone and iPad: open the web app in Safari, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
  2. Mac: open it in Safari 17 or newer and choose File, then Add to Dock.

The web app finds other devices that have GleamShare open in a browser on the same Wi-Fi. To reach someone with the Windows or Android app, use link or email sharing.

Linux and any other browser

Use the web app in your browser. It works on any device, and link and email sharing reaches anyone.

Not seeing your device?

Both devices need the same Wi-Fi, "AP isolation" or "client isolation" must be off on the router, and the Windows Firewall must allow GleamShare (the installer adds a rule). You can also add a device by typing its IP address from Settings.
